...if you've never been to one, you may want to re-evaluate your devotion to St. John's football. This pre-during-and-sometimes-post game tailgate is the creme-de-la-creme of tailgates at St. John's University. It incorporates the best burger in the world, called Stiftungsfest, from a small meat market in Norwood Young America. Add to this burger, pork patties, wild rice brautwurst and a whole slew of other fixings and you have quite the spread. Along with the food there are activities. Hang your balls is a regular competition amongst attendees. Shotgunning beers is a highly contested event held regularly throughout the course of a gathering. Add to this the smooth tunes of David Gray and U2 and you may find yourself asking, "Does it get any better than this?" The answer...NO!

This Stiftungsfestivities is Homecoming for the St. John's Johnnies and a true homecoming for Carleton head coach Kurt Ramler. Ramler, a fixture in the Johnnie record books, brings his upstart Knights to town fresh off an upset of Bethel College. Get there early and enjoy what should be a beautiful day in Collegeville.
